Asking for help is the first step
I graduated from Boston University with a Masters’ Degree in Social Work in 1995. I have been self-employed in private practice since November of 2003. I am a fearless, empathic, and engaged psychotherapist committed to working deeply with my clients. I hold a respectful and curious approach to difference while searching for similarities. This allows me to connect deeply with the individuals and couples I work with. I became an AASECT certified sex therapist in 2010 and then a certified supervisor of sex therapy in 2015.
I've specialized in couples and sex therapy for the past fifteen years. I have found these forms of therapy to be effective in creating change and resilience in people's lives. In January of 2022 I was certified as a Discernment Counselor. Discernment Counseling is a short-term model, no more than five sessions, of intervention designed to assist couples in deciding if they wish to remain together or collaboratively end their marriage.
